Actiontec 1520/24 Point to Point Setup

Please hook up your Actiontec Router per the instructions in the included Users Guide. Keep in mind that it is recommended that you use the Ethernet connection if possible instead of the USB connection. Once you have done this, please start your computer and open your web browser.

Once you have opened your webbrowser, type 192.168.0.1 into the address line on the top of your screen and hit enter. This should bring up the Actiontec configuration page - please choose the following options:

Select the Setup/Configuration option and select "Basic Setup"

Are you an MSN Customer - NO

ISP Protocol - PPPoA

Username and Password - Enter the Username and Password that you set up with Getnet when activating your account. Both the IP address and DNS Servers may be left "dynamic". Click "Save and Restart" and your router will reboot. Wait until the "Internet" indicator light on the front of the router goes solid and attempt to load a webpage. If you are able to load a webpage, you're done. If you cannot, please see the troubleshooting guide which can be found on the DSL Setup/Support page.

NOTE: If you are setting up a used modem, or you are re-entering the settings in your router, we recommend that you reset the modem prior to following these steps - this can be accomplished by holding down the "reset" button found on the back of the modem for 10 seconds. Doing this will reset the modem to its factory default settings.
