Cereus Peruvianis Mature Plant This fast growing cereus produces enormous white blossoms to 7" across. Each bloom lasts only one night, but the blooming season can last from April through November in the Valley of the Sun. The fruit turn red when the seeds inside are mature. Cereus peruvianis make a dramatic centerpiece in just a few seasons. Their growth rate can be slowed somewhat by withholding water, but this is not a plant for small areas. Peruvianis does not do well in super hot locations such as against west facing walls or surrounded by reflective surfaces such as cement decking. In open areas they are fine in full sun. They do like a deep watering every 10 days in summer.
